Winnipeg Mennonite Seniors Care Inc. (WMSCI) has a vision to provide Long-Term Care to seniors in our community. We have developed a unique model of care in Manitoba, which will provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents while allowing them a high degree of independence and freedom.

The Bridgwater Campus will give WMSCI the opportunity to fulfill their vision of providing a continuum of care on one site.

We are planning to build a 108-bed ‘household’ model Long-Term Care facility attached to a 79-suite Assisted Living facility that will provide much more support for seniors still able to live fairly independently.

The ‘bridge’ will serve both levels of care by bringing these facilities together and providing an inviting place for the larger community of Bridgwater to participate in the life of this complex. Included in the plans are a coffee shop, pharmacy, and medical services for both residents and people from the community.

Our goal is to create a home for seniors where they will continue to find joy and purpose as they enjoy the aging process. The provincial government has announced approval for the Bridgwater project and we continue to negotiate details with the Department of Health, Seniors and Active Living.
